conference was held at Eadon Hall in Coventry and was based on the
theme: Faith,
Fact and Fiction.

Margaret Keeling, formerly Head of Libraries, Culture
and Adult Learning in Essex, spoke on:
Keeping the Imagination Alive: exploring the connection between
imaginative word, Word and real world
Margaret's research background is in 20th century British
fiction and she gained a PhD from Keele University in 2000. Her talk
explored the value of fiction from professional and Christian perspectives
in the context of the growing interest and participation
in reading groups.
Our second speaker was Colin Reeves, Chaiman of
the Christian Book Promotion Trust. His title was:
Sock it to 'em? The trials, tricks and triumphs of a specialist
communicator
Colin, who calls himself, "just a jobbing journalist" has
worked as an industrial public relations officer and has been involved
in Christian magazine publishing. He shared his enjoyment of a range
of communication experiences.

Kirsty Robinson presents Graham Hedges
with an award in recognition of 25 years service as LCF Secretary.
An addition to the conference programme last year, was a presentation
made to Graham Hedges in honour of his completion of 25 years service
as LCF Secretary.
