History

In the spring of 1973, about a dozen librarians formed an informal fellowship. A steering committee was created in late 1974, and a draft constitution was devised. The Fellowship was formally created in January 1976 at a conference in London. About 30 people attended.

In 1977 the South Wales Bible College asked for help to reorganise its library. This was the beginning of our Library Assistance Programme. Over the years we have worked with many different societies and colleges.

This work of helping others has extended overseas. The Overseas Assistance Programme provides training for Christian libraries in the third world.
